Justin Vento started JV2V to help others overcome the problems he has experienced as a teacher and as a student. Justin obtained a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and a PhD in chemical and biomolecular engineering. He has accumulated 14 years of teaching and tutoring experience and 22 years experiencing life as a student. He serves as an Assistant Teaching Professor in the chemical and biomolecular engineering department at Villanova University.
Justin attributes his success as a teacher to his emphasis on individualizing education and understanding student hardships. He realized that demanding curriculums make most students experience school as a place of stress and work, while some “varsity-level” students succeed because they instead experience school as a place of opportunity. He believes this “varsity” mindset is obtained by developing key foundational skills such as focus and problem solving.
Justin believes that balancing academics with extracurricular activities is critical to expand our perspective and explore our passions. Justin enjoys sports, music, the outdoors, and traveling. He values spending time connecting with family and friends, and believes that optimizing physical, mental, and emotional health is key to success.
